Collegiate Soccer Experience: Teamwork, Leadership, and Community

As a collegiate attacking midfielder for BYU’s Women’s Soccer Team, the field became my classroom for resilience, discipline, and leadership. Balancing over 30 hours per week of intense training and competition with a 3.87 GPA, I learned the art of time management and goal-oriented focus. On and off the pitch, I worked to create harmony within a diverse team, striving for excellence together while embracing each teammate’s unique strengths.

Time was my fiercest opponent, but I developed meticulous strategies to stay ahead. Prioritizing tasks, keeping a clear vision, and maintaining focus under pressure became second nature. Beyond the game, I extended my passion for soccer to community outreach programs, mentoring young athletes and teaching them the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. These moments reminded me that leadership is not just about winning—it’s about inspiring others and building connections that last.
